Third Pak-Fa T-50 Prototype Has Taken Flight

The Pak-Fa T-50 is Russia’s 5th generation fighter prototype, designed to compete with other 5th generation aircraft such as the American F-22 and F-35 and the Chinese J-20. This aircraft is designed to replace legacy Russian fighters such as the Mig-29 and Su-27. Although little is known about this aircraft at this time, it is apparent that the T-50 will be stealthy, have the ability to super-cruise, and will carry the latest Russian air-to-air and air-to-surface weaponry in internal bays. Pictured is the 3rd prototype: this is the first prototype to have a radar installed.
